Back to School? Take Action!

On the week of September 19th parents, students, teachers and other community members will kick off a statewide week of action to tell their  stories about how school cuts are impacting our communities. As students return to the classroom, it’s clear to everyone - School Cuts Hurt. Many programs, teachers and support staff positions have been ripped from our schools. Some districts have even had to cutback Pre-K  because of cuts from Albany. How can we expect our children to be prepared for college and careers without support?

Please check the list below to find the event nearest you so that you can make your voice heard by telling how school cuts are impacting your school and community. Let’s make sure that the Governor and our legislators know that the budget they passed in the spring is hurting our kids now. School Cuts Hurt.

New event sites are being added so be sure to check back regularly. If you’d like to host your own event (and we hope that you do!) please contact our Campaign Coordinator Chad Raddock at cradock@aqeny.org.
