At this year’s SOMOS conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a coalition of elected officials, union leaders, and community advocates, including AQE, came together to discuss issues impacting working families in Puerto Rican communities. The conference focused on fostering collaboration for a sustainable future, featuring workshops on education, healthcare, and AI’s role in education, along with a Day of Service that included community outreach such as installing basketball hoops and distributing school supplies. Participants also highlighted Puerto Rico’s resilience and the importance of safeguarding worker rights and advancing education equity.
