The deadline to apply for CEC elections is fast approaching – February 16 now extended to February 27! This is your chance to make a real impact on education in your district.
It’s more important than ever to have parents committed to fighting for racial and economic justice, advocating for systemic change that benefits all of our kids, and standing up for values of equity, fairness, and opportunity for all of our communities. As you may know, right-wing extremists are increasingly attempting to influence the direction of Community Education Councils (CECs), pushing harmful agendas that undermine diversity, equity, and inclusion. Serving on a CEC can be incredibly rewarding, and so we encourage you to hear directly from past and current CEC members about how valuable the CEC experience has been on their advocacy journeys.
